Easter is just around the corner, and it’s the perfect time to gather with friends & family and celebrate. Whether you’re hosting a small brunch or a big family dinner, Easter entertaining can be a lot of fun. It can also be stressful (if you let it) but that’s why we are here to help! Here are some tips and ideas to help you create a casual and enjoyable Easter gathering.

  1. Keep it simple

One of the keys to successful Easter entertaining is to keep things simple. Don’t try to do too much, and focus on the things that matter most to you and your guests. You don’t need to have an elaborate menu or fancy decorations to have a great time. Instead, think about the things that make Easter special to you and your loved ones, and build your gathering around those things. You want to spend time with your guests, and that’s why letting us help with the meal makes all the difference!

  1. Try hosting an Easter Brunch instead of dinner

While traditional Easter dinner is lovely, so is a nice brunch. Your guests don’t have to worry about a late night and you can enjoy a great meal mid-day and then all go for a walk together afterwards. We’ve got some great brunch options for your menu. Our quiche is delicious and comes in 3 flavours; broccoli & cheddar, mushroom & caramelized onion and lorraine.

We’ve also got chocolate avalanche (better than pain au chocolat), multigrain croissants and cranberry & orange scones that you just pop in the oven; from frozen to fabulous!  And don’t forget our ready to bake cinnamon brioche; your house will smell great and your guests will be thrilled!  Pick up our cute butter balls for your table and you’re set!

Kids (and adults!) will love our mini pancakes with a pot of nutella. Yummmm!

A lovely charcuterie board would make the perfect centerpiece for your Easter table, but give us a call ahead of time to order. We do book up!

3. Leave all but the meat to us for your Easter dinner

Yes, you heard us – we can help with all but your ham or turkey. We’ve got the turkey gravy and all the sides, which, lets admit, is the time-consuming part. By the time you wash and cut all your veggies, you are tired of the kitchen.

We have 4 types of mashed potatoes; creamy Yukon gold, red skin garlic mash, cauliflower mash and sweet potato mash. Offer a couple of varieties and your guests will be amazed!

Our Heirloom glazed carrots are a must, as are the French green beans with shallots and our glazed brussel sprouts.  You don’t have to worry about the crowds, pick these frozen sides up ahead of time from us, pop them in your freezer and then just pop them in the oven and you are done!

And start your meal with our carrot & ginger soup. A perfect first course to for your Easter dinner.

4. Dessert does not have to be homemade to taste like it is

That’s right! No need to dirty your mixing bowls, spatulas and spend extra time in the kitchen baking. We have an amazing assortment of desserts that will wow your guests! Since it is Easter and you never know when the Easter Bunny will be coming by, carrot cake is a must! Ours is soooo good if we do say so ourselves.  Our Chocolate Torte or Lemon Chiffon cake are also must-trys. Or our hazelnut filled or caramel filled french beignets. Yum!

5. Try to cut down on your running around and keep it as simple as possible

We are your one-stop shop! Don’t forget that we now have beer & wine for sale. Our wine selection is great (if we do say so ourselves) and features a selection that you can’t find in the LCBO. No need to worry about the line ups at the other stores!

Don’t forget that we offer delivery across Ontario so give us a call and we can arrange to get everything you need boxed and sent off to you!

Wishing you and yours a Happy Easter weekend and a Happy Spring!
